Nice list and accompanied by nicer if not more "neutral" thinking.Nice but somewhat lacking.A site once crippled by radicalism now open to alternative,if not less "closed" thinking and idealism.Remember,"doomed " was the catchphrase,now "groomed".Opinion dictates,and times change.
And yet it(the PS3) CANNOT replicate it's competitors tiresome software lineup,a questionable mix of add-on's and attempts at meaningful continuation.How odd........
Literally,"it only does everything" implies many things, realistically it delivers on most applications,not ALL but most.The needle buried in the haystack is often difficult to find yet easily overlooked............
That it was intended to do.It works and works well when used as intended.The same logic is applicable with nearly anything......even intellectual capacity as it were.
That "killer weapon,deal,app,service". .......is what again exactly?
A mix of dark/high fantasy,sounds good....not exactly open world yet not exactly linear....good enough.Plenty of character development/plot interaction.....also good.Likely give it a go.

The Oblivion-esque "they all level up as one" idea is rather stale yet forgivable.At least it remains challenging,in theory.

Open world or linear dungeon crawl? no one has been clear on this yet.I didn't enjoy Baldur's Gate yet am a fan of D&D fantasy,I enjoyed ,rather loved Demon's Souls because of it's direction and mood(some of it borrowed from the best rpgs).

But is it any good?.Does it expand the genre or simply sit atop it due only to sales alone?.Is the sp memorable and well-crafted or a "feel good hit of the summer" that grows tiresome fast? Is it the promised next step in cod's evolution or a rehash of 2008?

Both can (and) do exist.comfortably.PS3 owners are fully justified when spouting of it's greatness.It wasn't always so.
I remain fairly confident that I am overly confident.............in the purchasing tendencies of 14yr. children with nothing but time to waste and money to burn.We sink yet swim together.....somehow in this sea of doubt.

I would own both personally yet refuse to,not because of money(or some such triviality) but because of interest.The argument rather debate grows old.If I chose to simply not buy a 360 or PS3 not for financial reasons but personal ones would it be criminal? whom really cares? 17 run from downed helicopter scenes mixed with the occasional "farm at dusk + snipe"= better than "a-z and back again".........then yes.I will stick with NO.however disagreeable.
And worthy of a sequel.The difficulty is overblown but the game isn't without it's challenges, especially early on.Dagger +10,heater shield +2,Dex 54,Vitality 12,Strength 14,Soul Arrow(for red knights and flamelurker)=done deal.Be patient and tricky and it eventually all falls into place.Again,Awesome damn game,dark and moody and rewarding.Paid 100$ cdn. for the special edition and would gladly do so again.=)
All of these "losses" mixed with all of these "insightful" degree laden answers leaves me wondering; how can we go on? how can quality games from Sony possibly grace my damnable PS3??!! has MS found another way??!! a more profitable and economically viable strategy hitherto unknown??? should I return to business school? should we all?.....Demon's Souls says "NO".In fact,common sense dictates otherwise.

Why I should care or be in shock.A DMC clone with little to none of that elusive originality that breeds good games.Again,I care why? we are shocked and dismayed for what reason? It will be praised yet secretly avoided by a certain community.....
Snake is iconic.....Drake,however "cool" reminds me of Indiana for whatever reason.Great game,great execution,yet I recommend Snake's sordid story more.One man,one chance,last chance.Snake FTW.Drake FTRU(Runner-up).Someday....... ..maybe,not this day however.
